JJC: Dear customer, you need to adjust your camera to remote control mode before using the RM-E2 remote. The following are the steps: 1.Press the left arrow button on the multi selector 2. Select remote control mode (with remote icon) and press the OK button. 3. Frame the picture. 4. Aim the Infrared Signal Output of RM-E2 at the infrared receiver of the camera and press the shutter button.
